Jacqueline Edwards has spent most of her career at the Correctional Service of Canada. In that organization, her positions have included correctional officer; community outreach officer for the Greater Toronto Area; recruitment outreach officer; senior project officer in the recruitment directorate; manager, horizontal initiatives, public affairs and parliamentary relations; and senior project officer, transformation team. She currently serves as the aboriginal regional program manager. Among many volunteer positions, Edwards’ community involvement includes regional director for the National Council of Visible Minorities; first vicepresident and, subsequently, president of the National Council of Visible Minorities in the federal public service.
