May 21, 1965

Education Minister, William G. Davis introduced Bill 153 for the establishment of the Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology.  Eighteen college areas and their locations were designated to train and educate a vitally needed force of skilled labour for manufacturing, business and service industries.  Humber was designated as Area 6 to serve the Township of Etobicoke, Township of York, Towns of Mimico, New Toronto, Weston, and Village of Long Branch.
